Hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the 2023 "Beijing Foreign-Affairs Gifts" Solicitation was held in the Cultural Space of Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center (BOCEC) on the afternoon of October 31. This is an innovative move to improve Beijing's role as the center for international exchanges and serve the city's high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
Open to organizations that are strong in design, the event calls for foreign-affairs gifts that can fully showcase Beijing's profound culture and tell the city's stories. They should also be modern, novel, and portable.
Launch ceremony
The launch ceremony was attended by representatives from over 80 design organizations, companies, and universities in the fields of culture and creativity, industrial manufacturing, technology and fashion, and traditional handicrafts.

Participants talk with each other
The event will last until the end of January next year. Excellent entries will not only be awarded the "Beijing Foreign-Affairs Gift" commemorative plaques after being reviewed by experts, but also be included in Beijing's Foreign-Affairs Gift Reserve Bank and widely recommended to foreign affairs departments and the society, so as to serve the needs of international exchanges.
